About Lauren Veronie Curran

Lauren Veronie Curran is an euphoniumist, a Soldier, a native Texan, and most recently, a mom. She is a Sergeant First Class with the United States Army Field Band in Washington, D.C. As a member of the Army’s premier touring ensemble, Lauren travels and performs across the United States over 100 days each year. She has been a featured soloist with the Concert Band in eighteen states and performs with the US Army Field Band Brass Quintet. Lauren regularly gives recitals and works with students at universities and conferences. She is a passionate performer, teacher and clinician. Lauren is a graduate of the University of North Texas, where she studied euphonium with Dr. Brian L. Bowman. She is the winner of the 2004 Potomac International Euphonium Competition. Lauren has recorded extensively with the North Texas Wind Symphony, performed with the Dallas Wind Symphony and spent her early years with the Houston Symphonic Band.
